Abstract

With the rise of social media platforms, such as Instagram, there has been increasing interest in exploring their potential impact on language learning. This study investigates the influence of Instagram on English language learning among individuals in Namangan, Uzbekistan. Combining qualitative and quantitative methods, data was collected through surveys and interviews from participants in Namangan. Results indicate that Instagram plays a significant role in language learning, offering diverse content and interactive features. However, challenges such as authenticity and distraction were noted. This study contributes to understanding the role of social media in language acquisition in non-Western contexts.
